Is it necessary to physically attend your school?
It is not necessary to attend our school. Once a student submits his application form and pays the administration fee, the student will receive access to the student section on our website and can only study at his home.
In the student section, there are materials available for study, namely the syllabi of our individual courses, rules for submitting seminar papers (SP), PPT presentations of our individual courses, etc. It is possible to produce one's personal schedule and submit all the SPs through our Internet interface later. Thanks to this online study method, our students can do most of their work at home. Participation in our thematic meetings is not obligatory; however, with regard to their quality, the possibility of getting to know your lecturer and other students from your field, as well as other fields (since some TS are taught across the individual programmes), we highly recommend attending them.
When does the schedule of thematic meetings become available and when do they take place?
A week before our thematic meetings are held, our Study Department sends notifications with overviews of the scheduled teaching of every subject. The schedule is published in the student section as well. Lectures take place on Saturdays, Sundays and exceptionally on Fridays, depending on every programme’s schedule. The deadline of the first TS is set approximately three weeks after a study cycle start, so our students have enough time to study all the necessary information. Upon completion of your TS for a given subject, you have 30 days to submit your SP for a given subject.
Where do the thematic meetings (lectures) take place?
Our thematic meetings always take place at the European Business School SE at Jablonského 640/2, Prague 7 (1 minute from the Metro C).
Are the thematic meetings obligatory?
Our thematic meetings are not obligatory; however, they are recommended to our students. Our thematic meetings ensure contacts with our lecturers who are experts in their fields and provide valuable advice on theory and practice. During these meetings, our students receive light refreshments, and our lecturers are available to them together with our study department to answer any questions. However, you can complete your studies without attending these thematic meetings.
What the seminar paper criteria?
One's seminar paper (SP) is submitted in the Czech or Slovak language. If one completes any of our two English programmes or if our programme student selects a compulsory elective course in English, he submits his seminar paper in the English language. One’s paper must feature 12 to 16 standard pages of text. In terms of its contents, one seminar paper must comply with the established professional standards and general study requirements, which the student receives together with his study agreement. All the seminar paper samples are available to our students in the student section.
Where are the study materials located?
Already after your first tuition payment (study may be paid in 4 instalments), every student receives access to our student section, which is our internal system environment on the European Business School SE website.
There, our individual subject syllabi are available to the student (in which the lecturer states, among other things, the compulsory literature that may be borrowed for free at our institution’s library, paper topics and assignments, etc.). Our student section contains a schedule of thematic meetings as well. The student submits his seminar papers to it, and they are immediately delivered to his lecturer of the relevant subject through our automated system and classified. The lecturer then enters the student's graded SP into the student section, and our automated system sends the student a notice of his grading.
